Those of you familiar with pricing for dedicated hosting/servers, what should I expect to pay monthly for the following:

Features of the robust dedicated environment to include:

•Firewall – monitored for uptime and managed with periodic log file assessments
•Dedicated Load Balancing
•Redundant web servers with failover power supplies and port monitoring.
•Dedicated database server (Decreases latency), includes port monitoring
•Network managed backups
•Daily incremental backup
•Full weekly backup
•Backup retention of (4) weeks
•Aggregate bandwidth – 200 GB per month. Overage rate at $3.95 per GB

I would guesstimate in the range of $500/month.

You are asking for a lot of managed services, which eat up the cost.

I have a similar setup, but do the maintenance/backups myself and I pay $260/month.

I'm sure it can be found cheaper but I like my hosting company and their service is very good.

Interesting, they are asking $4,600 per month! Its through RackSpace. You really have your own dedicated servers, just for your site, for only $500/month?

I think $500 would be very low to actually meet the specs laid out by kellyandsummer.

I would estimate in the thousands monthly for a setup that meets those specs. The $4k something quote is in the ballpark. What really kills you are the details of the setup. Dedicated Firewall, dedicated load ballancer, dedicated network (implied by firewall, etc), redundant power supplies (rules out el-cheapo white boxes), port monitoring, managed backups, etc.

All those push the price way up to do right/well.
