Hi,

I've decided that I'm going to expand my customer support to include a forum where I can make announcements, people can ask questions and make suggestions concerning the site. I've been debating if the forum should have its own domain or just set up a subdomain in my existing site. The thing is that I would like to expand the forum to include other topics in the near future.

What are your thoughts?

We have a few support sites for two of our main commercial sites. We simply used a different virtual host for the support sites - i.e.: www.somesite.com has a support site of support.somesite.com. Very useful since your site visitors already know the domain name. The most confusing them to them is that they don't type in www!
