However, there are issues with number of visitors, repeat visitors, page views, etc, that were not as much a concern of mine when it was somebody else's site I was working on.
I've been self-employed for 17 years, and always had someone in my business area to get feedback from.
Now that I'm doing this site, I find myself with nobody to talk to who understands commercial websites. I know self-employed people in advertising, engineering, graphic design, auto body repair---you name the business, I know someone in it. But I don't know a single soul who runs a site for a living. Thus, I'm just getting blank stares when I try to get feedback.
If it's not a violation of WW rules, I'd really like to "speak" to other webmasters via stickies or by phone, just to try to evaluate where I'm going.
Thanks much for any replies.
About speaking in person, I find WW to be wary of certain types of disclosure, and those who stick around seem to like it that way. Good luck!

I'm afraid that until you are able to attend a PubCon, you will have to learn to talk through you fingers. I mean, typing. Yes, typing. You can sort / search through responses/questions, perhaps someone is in your area and you can sticky mail them for interest in meeting face to face.
But overall, I would have to say fuggedaboutid! Your fingers are your friends!
