How many <h4> per page is okay?

I want to have <h4> headings for a variety of sub-sections on some of my pages so to give them a little more umph in the search engines. Is there any limit to the number of <h4> one puts on a page? I don't really want to go through with it if having lots of <h4> may cause penalties in search engine results for those pages. >_<

has very little weight for the search engines, and there's not particular limit to the number of times it can be used. As long as you're only using it for titles of sub-sections, you won't have any problems.
