I've sold a bunch of stuff on ebay lately and I noticed that the fee paypal takes out for purchases really kills a lot of the transaction.. Are there ways to avoid this fee or if not, do any of you make the buyer pay for this fee because I feel like they take out more than they should... Dont get me wrong paypal is a great service but this fee can add up to a lot if you sell a lot of items.

yea the fee sucks!..but you cant just go out and tell the consumer they have to pay this certain extra amount for the fee..maybe just add a little bit more to your prices as their advertised..to make up for the loss..just my 2 cents..

Many Ebayers used to surcharge (very bad idea in my opinion) it now 'Ebay Illegal' to do so. Depending where abouts you live it is also 'real world' illegal to surcharge.

The reality is, it is a business cost and should be factored in. If such a small percentage hits your sale so hard then perhaps there is a viability question?
