Pricing a site...

How much?

I am not totally sure if this is the best place for it or not... but I'm sure if its not the mods will move it quick enough.

Anyways, I have been asked to give a quote on how much I should sell my site for. It is a non-commercial site, relatively new (went live on July 28th) and has a pr of 4. Right now it is getting about 30,000+ visiters... Anyways I have no idea on how much I should sell it for.

I'm not totally convinced on giving him all my content... and he has already stated that he would take it with or without it.. But he wants both my domain + layout with an agreement that he can use my idea for the site.

So can anyone help me out by giving me a price range on how much I should ask for.. be it with or without the content?

I think I said everything that needs to be.. but if there is any other questions you need answered before making your guess... feel free to ask.

It is hard to quote a price based on the information you provided. If you want, you can sticky me your URL and maybe it will provide a clearer picture.

Although you don't say whether that's daily, weekly or monthly visitors, 30 000 may seem impressive but it's pretty meaningless out of context. Who are they and what are they looking for? If most of them are too young to buy online, price accordingly.

As it's non-profit and fairly new you can't use anything like the last few years profit to base a price on. Without the content it should be worth considerably less, because surely that's what your visitors are coming for?

The way the site is set up, they aren't coming to buy anything unless its from an affiliate.. Most of the people come to just view the content. All the money comes from adsense basically.

The 30,000 is monthly, but it is growing quickly as well as it has only been up for 2 months and some change.
