Hey Pals,

What in your opinion is the best live chat software around?

I'm aware of
[liveperson.com...]

but its one of the most expensive services around - no doubt they make you pay for their popularity..

I've also stumbled across several other products

www.BoldChat.com - again expensive..
Xigla.com looks great but unfortunately needs a windows based hosting server...
[helpcenterlive.com...]
[dayanahost.com...] (um needs flash..)
and there's www.phplivesupport.com which looks like a good affordable solution (only has an irritating beeping sound )

Why live chat software do you use and why have you chosen it...I'm really looking for a good live chat service for which I pay a one-time fee...

Your feedback would be appreciated.

I personally like crafty syntax (google it), and it's free.

I use Xigla and I adore it. Use it constantly.

We also use Xilga and think it's great. We choose it for the price (less than $300, on time fee, as opposed to a monthly charge). The software paid for itself in a day or two through additional sales and upsells.

Xigla is great but it needs a windows based server something I don't have - so please suggest alternative solutions ;o(

We use N-Contact from [netlert.com....] It's not cheap, but has paid for itself many times over!
