I have recently bought a new domain specific to part of my website. The domain was purchased from a domain regestration company who offer redirection. I have pointed it to a subdomain on my origional site. I was just thinking... Could this cause search engine problems...
Any advice gratefully received.
What i have now is domain1.com and newdoman.com I created a folder domain1.com/newdomain and pointed newdomain.com at it. So in thoery only the home page for newdomain is hosted on domain1 the rest is on a free host and on another long domain.
^^ i hope that made sence... i mean i didnt want to breach the terms of use and use real domains now...did i:)
so .. you think i should take the new domain away and host it on it's own with the 2 sites cross linked...
www.mysite.com
<root_dir>
sub1.mysite.com
<root_dir/sub1>
sub2.mysite.com
<root_dir/sub1>
...and so on? What if all of those subdomains main documents have been spidered and submitted to the SE's?
Does this run the likely chance of being banned or penalized in any way?
Thanks,
