Wanted: a file comparison utility

for Windows

I'm looking for a file utility program that will allow me to do side by side file comparisons on any text based documents (read: html,php,js,etc.). A GUI is a requirement and it should allow drag and drop between the documents.

I know there is one out there but I can't for the life of me remember what it's called. Meta something?

Other suggestions? Oh, It doesn't need to be free or shareware. TIA.

Check out Diff for Windows. I am not sure if it has a drag and drop though.

Thanks. Not quite what I'm looking for but good to know about.

I also found a tool called Compare IT! which looked very nice. It doesn't use drag and drop but does use arrows to allow you to move blocks of code from one pane to the other. Pretty handy little tool.

I've been using BeyondCompare for directory and file comparisons. It is a flexible tool.

Check out PSPad [pspad.com], it highlights the differences between 2 files side by side.
