Multiple domains on the same server

I have my main domain, site1.com, and I also have site2.com.

I only have one hosting service at the moment. site2.com just points to site1.com/site2/

I am going to start using site2.com again. It will be a completely different subject than site1.com.

My question is, do I have anything to worry about? Will Google (or other engines) see site2.com but also see site1.com/site2/ and think it is duplicate content?

Will they truely be seen as two different domains? Or will I have problems?

Any suggestions/thoughts are very much appreciated!

If you have the same content on site1.com/site2 and on site2.com, then google will hit you with multiple content. Otherwise, you should be fine.

Well of course the content is going to be the exact same. site2.com _is_ site1.com/site2/

So there is absolutely to do what I want without getting the search engines all against me? :)

I think I found a possible solution. The files for my main site are under the /public_html/ directory. Currently the other site (that I have the extra domain for) is under /public_html/site2/.

Now, If I can get my host to allow me to keep the files for the second site directly on /site2/ (and not under public_html) then theres no way the files can be seen from the main domain. Make sense? :)

Maybe I just need to go with a new host. One that supports multiple domains and completely seperate directories for them.

Those of you who run several different domains: is this what you do? Or do you have completely seperate hosting accounts for each one?

Don't play around, get a hoster that allows real multiple domains, with ip addresses for each separate, there are a few that do this well, not many, I would never use 99% of the hosters out there, they lie and misrepresent their services as rule.
