I am waiting for the PHP version of articlelive to go live in 2 months.

My hosting currently uses PHP 4.3.8 with Zend Optimizer.

I have a feeling the PHP version of my CMS will not use PHP 5 but instead PHP 4.X

Will I have a problem with my CMS if it is 4.x and my hosting upgrades to 5?

Will I hav a problem if my CMS is made in 5.0 but my hosting is 4.x?

Do you think my hosting will upgrade anytime soon (or should I not worry)?

The only way to be certain is going to be testing. If you are concerned about PHP versions, etc. you could always look into controlling your own servers.

The biggest concern I might have at this point would be taking software live so quickly. I would be a bit hesitant about waiting for software availability then taking it live right off without shaking the bugs out first.

Just some thoughts.
