Backing Up Emails on a Remote Server

My fiance uses our hosting's mailserver for her emails. She likes to read her email from many different places throughout the day so he uses webmail and IMAP.

The hosting company says that they do not backup the mail server, so I am worried she might lose all her emails if something goes wrong.

Is their a way to backup all her emails to our HDD but still keep the original copy on the remote hosting?

Run your own local IMAP server. If you have an always on broadband connection then you can leave a local machine on and be assured that you have a copy of everything.
