Is this a no no?

I have one site. Let's say it's about animals. Then I have another site it, let's say, sells tickets.

Now I know that there is some big deal about cross-linking, but would it be frowned upon by the search engines if I place a link from the animal site to a page on the ticket site that sells Zoo passes?

Oh, btw they are both on the same server.

(These are not real sites that I run. I had to come up with something and I couldn't manage to work widgets in to this question.)

Thanks!

Hi Wallace, There's no reason you can't have a link from one site to the other. However, avoid doing something silly like putting a link from every page on one site to every page on the other.

Ok, nothing silly. Got it. Um, would it be considered silly to add a link on every page to that one specific page that has to do with the site? Say that I put a link on a tiger page to zoo tickets saying, "See tigers up close and personal at a zoo near you. Buy tickets at phoney site dot com" Then I continue to do that with gorillas, giraffes, etc. Silly? Yes, no? Thanks for the advice!
