I had an emergency and had to go overseas for two weeks with no internet access. It was very short notice (within 8 hours) so i had little time to prepare myself...

Now on my return (15 days no net) i am overwhelmed with emails, new SEO info and business issues, it will take me a while to catch up and was wondering how others dealt with it.

cheers

Man, you need to unplug more often :) Just take your time, don't rush it ... the Internet is not life, and business is not more important than your sanity.

I am sorry, but I couldn't help but laugh when I read your post. I have been out to sea for over 280 days in the last year and was often too busy for MONTHS at a time to get on the net (it is very time consuming at sea - a single page can take 2-3 minutes or more to load - web access is a low priority on our communications suite). I am looking forward to getting home and emptying out my email boxes (I have to keep a few to keep them from getting overloaded when I send stuff to check out later)... and surfing at broadband speeds again.

I am most looking forward to getting back to work on my projects...

Just wade through it and get back to business... ;)

Later,
Matt

Slow and steady. Take chunks of emails to answer a time and take it easy getting back into the SEO stuff. If you don't you can get burned out REALLY quick after a nice little bit of time off.

Don't stress it... the world won't end and you are more likely to be productive if you take little bites.

Good Luck!

PS... if possible, sit outside and answer your emails. I love to sit out back under my tree w/ my wireless laptop and work. Really stress reducing.

Surely you have someone who can be a backup so you don't leave your businesses unattended?

@digitalv
hehe, would be nice, but the thing is the Internet "is shaping my life", at least i owe it my house, my business, my two nice cars and it feeds my baby and wife...

@Voltec
lol, i guess i can feel lucky only being away for two weeks...

@SEOMike

@Robino
I know, but they are not available along the border of Namibia and Botswana...

@choster
