How do you delete Internet Explorer History?

I want to permanently my History of all the web sites I visited in Internet Explorer and after I press the Clear History button in Internet Explorer options, they ALL keep coming back. How annoying!

Does anybody know the way to permanenetly delete the history in I.E. or prevent it from writing new URLs to it?

Have you tried setting the "Days to keep pages in History" to 0?

Yes, I set the days to keep to 0 and it does nothing.

By the way, I have IE 6 with Windows XP pro if that helps.
