replace the browser icon appearing left of the URL

Does any one know how to replace the browser icon (example IE icon) appearing left of the URL in location/address bar to be replaced by our personal icon at our site? or atleas replaced by our icon when the user bookmarks our site (Example: this site itself www.webmasterworld.com)

Any information will be very usefull..

Up on the top left of the page is a link to the site search. Look up favicon.ico and you'll find plenty of information, as well as some good links in the threads.
