I do run a political website, where the people rate politicians and also can post comments. Our database containts over 35.000 names.
I went online on January 04. First of all. Our budget is very very limited. So I was trying to advertise for free.I did put some links to the online czech newspapers and it brought great traffic and attention. It also brought attention of public medias. I was on czech newspapers and radio in 2 weeks after launch. It was great and free.
I am Czech studying in US. I did this website, mainly for US market and of course because this year Presidential election.
Now, I am having problem how to promote my website in US, where I believe It can reach big potential.
I was offered by a Media relation company their services : getting me to TV, Newspapers, Radio. But it is costly :-( 5000 USD a month + traveling expenses. I don't have this money yet.
Also I can say, that we have great results in SE. Google and Yahoo shows us at first page. Also if you type name of some politician there is a big chance we will be # 1 result found.
If you want to see us, type " Rate your politicians " at Google. So then you will get idea or sticky me for the link.
Also I have to say, that our name is kind of strange, but it is easy to remember :-)
So please, if anyone know, where my website can reach visitors tell me.
