Hello there...
I wonder if anyone can give me a few clues about how one can put into action the translation of a site.

I have documents with the translated foreign language text (Thai), but am unable to cut and paste this into Fireworks or Frontpage.

How would I set up my computer to recognise this typeface and what adjustments do I need to make to the HTML ?

I have looked up a lot of documentation on this - but I am struggling to grasp how language settings exactly work on an individuals pc.

I want to avoid making .gif images of the copy !

If anyone can point me in the right direction - it would be a great help.

Hi Bir, and welcome to WebmasterWorld.

We are not ignoring you. I am not familiar with Thai formatting so I have put in a call to our resident expert from Thailand to help with this one. Hang in there..

with Thai I am under the impression that Unicode is the easiest way to go...so label the web pages as being in utf-8 and go collect a Thai font or two

these sites may help

Hi bir,

Sawasdee Khrap!

YOu wouldn't happen to have a copy of Thai and English windows would you? If you do have this then you have the option of switching back and forth between language settings (at least I could in MS Word).

If all else fails, there are some good Thai sites with webmasters who would probably help you out.
