When I'm about to post a new thread, do an automatic search for similar threads based on keywords in the text of my message, and then prompt with something like:
"Are any of these topics the same as yours? If so , you can add your comments to those threads."
Makes it easier and less embarassing to those of us who are a little more "occasional" about reading webmasterworld. ;)
