Hmmm. How far do I trust these people.

Offering a fix for the problem they've created on my computer.

I wrote to this company asking if there was some way I could keep their cert from popping on IE. They wrote back with an apology and a clickable link that, if I click on it, will stop the cert from popping on my computer.
The clickable link they gave me is:
http***www.**webmedia.com/patch/certpatch.exe.

What do you think? Do I create a restore point on the computer and give it a try? Any experience with the company? (Assuming you can put it all together. Don't think I'm allowed to be that specific to spell it all out.) Do I trust them far enough to click on the link?

I'd set the restore point (keeping in mind that sometimes if you're using Norton of various versions, it matters not how many restore points you have, YOU CANNOT RESTORE TO ANY OF THEM WITHOUT SOME MAJOR FINAGLES), and give it a shot. I haven't run across these folks (assuming I figured them out right) in either "bad" or "good" varieties....
