Multiple file edit

I have a 1000 page + directory site pulling data out of mysql. Each seperate page has its own .tpl header & footer file.

When I want to make simple html changes to the headers & footers I have to manually go through all of them taking ages.

Is there any way of editing this change into all the files at once? Any software or script out there for this purpose?

Ive used Windows Grep to search and replace text in multiple files if thats what you need to do, very easy to use it can be found here.

Thats the ticket. To think that I was going to pay someone to write a script to do that.
