Removing content from your site on request

How to deal with this?

My personal site has quite a few photos of the bands I have been seeing since I received a digital camera for Christmas last year.

After taking photos I usually look through them and upload the best to my website in a photo gallery and give a CD of the originals to the people involved.
(I do not get any payment for this as it is a hobby of mine.)

It can also do short video clips (reasonable quality for the web) which I have also been experimenting with.

Before you ask, I did get approval to post the videos and photos to my site from the bands involved.

Today I was asked for the first time to remove a video from my site as the group involved thought it was not one of their better performances.

I did it as I wanted to maintain a good relationship with them and I want to keep seeing their group.

What are other people's experiences on this issue and what would have you done?

Thanks.

They asked for a touch of courtesy, you provided the same willingly. Sounds like win win tome. If it truly wasn't a great performance, the absence of the clip won't reflect poorly on the band or your site.

I suspect you'll have the opportunity to post another clip or three down the road as they aren't likely to forget you dinna make any big deal about the request.

Id do what you did, remove it.

Itll pay dividends in the future, as youve done it and helped them why not ask if can take some backstage photos to fill the gaps? ;)

I agree, removing the video was the right thing to do. Like you said, you should try to maintain the best of relations.
