Adobe Acrobat 5.0 - Coverting a Powerpoint file to PDF

When converting a powerpoint profile to Adobe PDF, the links in the presentation are no longer working. Is there any way to convert a powerpoint presentation to a PDF file and perserve the links within the powerpoint presentation?
