Gates Targets 2006 for Longhorn Release

Interesting. Two possibilities there:

1. They actually release in 2006 (on 12/31/06 at 11:59 pm) and LH is the single buggiest release of ANY Windows since 3.0 (um - yeah, I actually used that one.... for a while, until 3.1....)

2. As with most other releases of Windows, it runs a good 3 years beyond projection.... making it 2009.... (which won't be a problem necessarily as long as they haven't release-named it Windows 2006 or whatever!), and it will be while still not bug-free (never happen....) at least relatively stable until SP1 is done.

Ah. BTW. I LIKE Windows. I'm just a realist. (My brother insists I'm a cynic: I plan for the absolute worst that could POSSIBLY happen, and am just pleasantly surprised if it doesn't....)
