hi

My old router broke so I bought a new one. It's a Netgear WGT624. I must say it is a nice router. Everything works fine except for one problem I have been having with it. I will be online and the router will randomly reset itself. It's as if somebody just randomly unplugged it and plugged it back in. When I am browsing the web it will happen when I click a link or do something that requires internet activity. I'm pretty sure the router isn't defective because this is the second one I've had. I returned the first one because it was having the same problem and exchanged it for a new one and I still have the problem. I am also pretty confident that the power cord does not have a short in it.

Do you know if your building experiences power surges?

(just a thought)

yeah i'm pretty sure it doesn't. I have been having trouble with my internet connectivity. It's like the signal isn't very strong. Maybe bad splitters

Firmware? Netgear have a nasty habit of shipping v1.0 firmware, might be worth having a read around and seeing if other people have had the same problems and/or how they resolved them.
