Hi,

Forgive me, because I did not know what category under I should be searching in this forum. So I am putting this question to you. I have notice that some other company webpages requesting their company pages into our webserver. Causing 404 errors. How its possible? What is the process behind to it?

Many Thanks

So you mean that you have

page1.html
page2.html

They have

pageA.html
pageB.html

They are requesting

www.yoursite.com/pageA.html

which gives a 404? So they are not trying to steal your content or your bandwidth, they have just made a mistake? Have you tried writing to them and asking them to stop?

If they are not willing to correct their pages, you can use mod_rewrite (under Apache) and redirect requests that originate from that domain to anywhere you want - a product page on your site, back to their site, to a page that says "These guys are idiots."
