I have some pages that until recently were pretty zippy. But in the past few weeks, they have gotten slower and slower, and now they take up to 30 seconds to download. very bad!

Some pages still load very quickly, and others take for e v e r.

ISP sez, they can't find anything wrong with the server.

I'd like to find out if something in our pages is causing the slowness. Maybe it's a particular banner ad? Or a bloated graphic hiding somewhere? a buggy, recursive or loopy PHP function?

I have an IE toolbar that will show me all the HTTP requests going on when I load up a page, but it doesn't indicate how long each request took to fulfil.

Is there a diagnostic tool out there that will load a web page, and show the time taken to fulfil all the HTTP requests?

Hi httpwebwitch,
At netmechanic they have a free page checking tool - one of the items that gets checked is page load time. I don't know if it will provide you with the detail you might need but perhaps it's a start. Hope this helps.

It also tells you which grahics you can work on (making smaller in size)
