DNS, Hotmail, MSN?

Can anybody help me, yesterday I came to log on to MSN messenger and it kept saying invalid user name/password.

I then tried to log into hotmail and I kept getting a white page (similar to the 404 error page) saying this page cannot be displayed.

Also, I cannot log into some forums.

I think it may be DNS or something!?!

Help please!

i'll assume you are using Internet Explorer.

Tools -> Internet Options -> Privacy -> Advanced

pretty easy to figure out from there.
set your security level to medium or lower.

which version of IE are you using?

can i interest you in the latest version of netscape, mozilla, or firefox? you won't be disappointed!

these three browsers run on the same programming and will display similar results for webpages. they each have a different skin. there are other browsers out there but i don't use them so i can't recommend one.(opera, camino, etc.) maybe somebody else will...

Netscape comes with its own suite of software, like a mail application etc.

Mozilla comes with its own suite of software, like a mail application etc.

Firefox is like a lite version of mozilla. use this one if you haven't a need for the applications in the suite other than the browser.

this will work on a mac--the pc instructions are probably similar.

Firefox -> Preferences -> Privacy -> Cookies -> Enable Cookies

you're going to like tabbed browsing.

Just a thought..

MSN messenger is set up to use the internet connections specified in IE. The fix could be to sign on to the internet with IE and make sure it's up to date. Also, make sure you have the latest version of MSN.

Go to Google news. This problem has been happening all day.

Apparently hotmail and messenger logins have had a 50% success rate today...
