I can't remember where I saw it, and it could have been referring to something that existed once but is no more...I saw advice to submit a domain to webmaster world to have it 'checked' by an expert. I'm not sure if it was referring to SEO, code, or what? The reason I'm asking is because I am dealing with a site that had a lot of black-hat SEO done to it and I keep digging up stuff, some of which is new to me. and I spend a lot of time researching what's good, so-so, and bad. There is definitely a gray area.
As an example, the site's ex-SEO guy bought 2 EMDs with no backlinks, no PR, never even built according to lack of an archived site in Wayback machine, and 301 redirected them to the main domain. Totally pointless (to my understanding). The site got a manual unnatural links penalty which I am trying my best to unravel, but there was just so much done wrong. One of the domains 301 redirected to the main site was an existing site with backlinks and now I'm wondering if those backlinks could have contributed to the penalty indirectly?
Anyways, if there is such a service, I would love to know about it! Thanks!
