Working on a project for a training company, one of the services they sell is Sexual Harasement training (how to prevent it, and what to do if it happens). Is this still a poison word or is the surrounding content relevant

I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I would think that the surrounding content would be looked at and the search engine would then decide how to list your website. If you had a number of other red flags for example "4 letter words" then the search engine would list your site as a porn site or at the very least lean that way.

I believe I saw a desctiption about this on Google's FAQ page. Not sure exactly where, but I did see this being described somewhere on Goggle.

I wouldn't worry about it, but I would pay attention on what keywords I used on my webpages with "sexual harrassment".

Do a search and see what the leading sites on SH are writing.

I can't remember off the top of my head, but I do remember there being some meta tags for the content and rating of a web page. Maybe it will help.
