Internet Explorer Links Bar Cleansing

Fastest way to clean up and cull links

I've managed to over populate my links bar, which now scrolls down closer to China than I ever managed to dig when I was a child ;-)

I can't come up with a file in Windows Explorer that would contain the links list.

Is there one? Where would I find it on my C: drive?

I'm not referring to my Favorites file. These are direct cut and paste links to the Links bar in IE 6+

Right-click one of those links and look at it's properties, it says where on your hard drive they are stored. Normally a subfolder of 'favorites'.

Have you tried simply clearing the history and the cache?
