If you had decent start-up money... What type of online business would you jump into tomorrow ?

Would you purchase a domain off ebay to get a head start , or start from scratch with a fresh new name ? Would you choose a particular website software for your project ?

I've got 0% experience with WordPress, but am thinking of starting up a new blog / article site.

I'm just not sure...and dunno whats hot & whats not. :-/

Let me guess how you are thinking of making money from it ..begins with ad... ends with... ense ?

That is what I would not do..

A mixture of things, but definitely something mobile services related.

good point, and I agree on the mobile end, it's just hard to predict exactly what is needed & what will be the next big thing.

Recent studies show mobile internet viewing will be the majority in the future.

Once download speeds (increase) , pricing (decreases) , and security (increases) I could see this being a possibility. Even to the point where it'll be mainstream to do online banking on their cell. (still a couple years out prolly though)

You guys can chase the consumer toys. I'd start up a computer certification service for things like Authenticode.

Huh? Wordpress? Website software? There is nothing better than purpose written code, especially if it isn't created with Sharepoint or Asp.Net.

With that comment, you are making unsubstantiated and erroneous assumptions about what some of us "guys" are "doing" and "would do" or "intend doing".. :)

I would look for companies that specialise in a product I know and do a commission/lead deal then PPC to a niche within that product. No adsense, no adverts, just a professional looking site.

@leosGhost, no assumptions made. Some people specialise in chasing trends and my point was that I don't.
