The number of files under web root

How can I know the number of files under web root?

I would like to know how many html file under web root? how may HTML report under the root(One report can have several html chapters)?
Any ideas?

I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean. You can always use a dir or ls command (Windows/Unix) to list all files...
