bots responsible for sending forms?

Every month one of our clients receives a handful of blank forms emailed to them from their website.

This could be bots, right?

As an alternative you could just modify the logic of the sending code so that it wont actually send an email unless the message has some content to it.

Yes adding a form validator will be a nice idea. Try searching for it you get readymade scripts for it.
