Everyone else can see my site and I can't!

Yesterday, One of my sites switched from .net to .com , the .net's still there and working (for me and everybody else) but we have changed our main identity to .com

The .com one is working for everybody else (I've asked about 10 people who live around the world and its working for them), but, the site still hasn't resolved on my PC.

When I enter it, it searches yahoo for the .com site.

The site started working about 24 hours ago, I've ran "SPYBOT S & D" and removed all the spyware crap, checked the hosts file - 0 enteries, done the "ipconfig /flushdns" command and but too its not working.

Any help would be appreciated,
Sid

Unless you have a DNS server on your personal computer, you are under the control of your ISP and their refresh data. It could take 7 to 10 days depending on when they have their TTL set. It is against the ICANN rules to set a minimum TTL that is GREATER than the controling DNS server, but many people break this rule. Just give it some time and it will go live and the new DNS will update.

You could sign up with one of the many "pay as you go" ISP's simply to test it. That way you will be away from the control of your isp's proxy server.

Thanks for your help guys, but my problem just got worser. Now, I can't access .com or .net :(
I think it'll be good if I contact my ISP and tell them to update the Zone files for .com and .net , will that work?

The only way I can access my site is by the SearchHippo proxy [searchhippo.com] .

Thanks,
Sid

I've now fixed all these by adding entries to my hosts file, adviced by a friend.

Thanks anyway,
Sid
