To the one guy who we all owe our enjoyment of the web and for many of us our living, I wish to congratulate Tim Berners Lee on finally being recognised as worthy of a knighthood.

Congratulations Sir Tim, and thankyou for the work you did since leaving the Queen's College at Oxford University in 1976 and specifically that special moment in 1989 where you proposed a global hypertext project.

Just look at your baby now! :D

I have been trying to find time to finish reading his book and I am planning to take it with me to the hospital in the morning. My daughter is having surgery and I should have some spare time in the waiting room.

oh.. I though he was one of those oldies , like the dude who invented Television, Radio etc. etc. but still I do respect such people, they change the technology future.

The people who should really thank Sir Tim:

  • Larry Page, Surgey Brin (Google [google.com])
  • Krishna Bharat (Google News [news.google.com])
  • David Filo, Jerry Yang (Yahoo [yahoo.com])
  • Bill Gates (Microsoft [microsoft.com])
  • Eric Brewer (Inktomi [inktomi.com])
  • Louis Monier (AltaVista [altavista.com])
  • and you!

I saw him being interviewed on BBC World last night - obviously taped before his knighthood. He works at the WWW Consortium in the US (Boston?)
