IE6 Win XP problem with jpeg file extension

Had a problem saving jpg files in IE6 win XP after loading MS Office. Filename in save as box for a jpeg file would show up as filename.jpeg and save as that, or if filename was altered would save as new filename with no extension.

Found the key to edit in the registry;

Hikey-class root\MIME\Database\image\jpeg

modify the extension key from .jpeg to .jpg
