FTP help..

have subdomain, WS_ftp wont connect

My host created a subdomain for me, and instead of giving the IP address insits I connect using the subdomain. WS_ftp keeps givng me error messages saying it wont connect. I have connected via IE's native FTP client but get permission issues. Is there any way to get the numeric id address?

By Sudomain I mean subdomain.domain.com

Its probably the same as your main domain name, try typing ping sub.domain.com from the command prompt and see what IP address comes up.

the subdomain is just a directory under your main domain. You should be able to ftp to your main domain and then find the directory with the same name as the subdomain. That is where you will put all your files for it.
