After recent Law changes in America, you should hope to see these reduced. However, I am sure that Yahoo has a block sender facility on it. I tend to block the URL it has come from e.g. @spam.com rather than the full name. However you will run into problems if it is from a yahoo account or hotmail etc.

You should also be able to set up your account so that you only receive emails from those people in your address book. I used to get spammed at about a rate of 100 emails a day, however since the U.S. law changed I only get about 10.

Hope some of the above helps, P

The spam controls are better if you do the upgrade. Part of the reason is they want people to pay to use the service.

You can use the this is spam link at the top of the message to block the address. Not real helpful, but it can help some.

Yahoo has a Bulk Mail (Spamguard) feature that for me, collects 100% of spam.

I think all you have to do is turn it on.

Their Spamguard catches 97-99% of the spam I get. And there's a handy "Empty Bulk Mail" link so you can dump it without even looking at the list.

I do hate it though when messages start bouncing because my bulk folder has been filled up with virus junk. It can happen overnight if the 148 & 152 kb viruses are active at the time.

I am a Paid member and it filters most of the junk and then with the further training...reporting them every spam makes things even easier.
