How to organize multiple sites?

Hi all. Over the past few days I've been thinking about expanding my online presence and work on two or three sites instead of one. I guess this is an organization/logistics question. How do you stay organized? How do you keep your emails from different domains separate if you are using Outlook. When opening your ftp program do you need to login every time to switch for different sites? It just seems like it could be an organizational nightmare, and I'm not very organized ;) Thanks in advance!

Dave.

For your emails within Outlook you could make new folders for each of your domain names, then you could set a mail rule for each domain name, as any mail is received it would automatically go to the correct folder.

I personally have all emails received in the inbox read and then move them (or delete) to whatever folder is relevant, this way you see every email and don't miss any.

With FTP you can have root access but this is normally only for yourself, if another person is updating any files on your sites (they would be using separate FTP details) then you would over write any changes with you root password if you uploaded files, It's an ownership problem so if this was the case then you need to have separate FTP user name and passwords for each site.
