My site has virtually 0 graphics on the site itself.

On DSL my site loads in 2.14 seconds (says net mechanic). This is AWESOME.

However at the same time I wonder if I am losing visitors because my site is not as graphically instenisve as other competing sites.

You can visit my site for your at <snip>.

When visitors vview my less-graphical site, will they view it as simple but effective layout... or unprofessional webwork?

How much do graphics matter?

I like how fast your site loads (I'm on dialup).
I don't find anything unprofessional about your site, except that it's kinda disconcerting to see the Navigation menu disappear into "Ads By Google" when visiting a page.

I also see think that you should add a title="Title of Link" attribute to your icon links at the bottom of your pages instead of just using the alt attribute. On mozilla/netscape browsers the alt text does not appear as a tooltip.

I find that I really like websites that load fast better that ones who have a ton of graphics. experts-exchange is one example of a website that is too graphics heavy IMO.

Just my thoughts,
Elijah

Jesus!

Just visited expert-exchange for the first time... that sites got a case of "Look at all the neat things I can do" syndrome.

I've never, ever heard of a web site losing traffic because the site loads too quickly.

Whether or not your site needs more graphics to appear "professional" is a matter of opinion and taste. I tend to think simpler designs are more professional, but the next designer might feel otherwise.

That said, if you feel your site isn't getting as much traffic as it should, or as much traffic as your competitors, I would suggest looking for problems other than the possibility that it loads too quickly.
