In the past I have given out my website address with and without the www. inserted. Both work fine but as many of you know there are problems with google and PR.
I also have other reasons for wanting this information.

Is there a way to redirect [site...] to [site...] without having to redirect all incoming traffic to both addresses?
Is there a piece of code that recognises the incoming [site...] and only redirects them?

Thank you

There have been sooooo many discussions about that.

Just a few recent threads:
[webmasterworld.com...]
[webmasterworld.com...]
[webmasterworld.com...]
[webmasterworld.com...]

Hint - Google still is a search engine: rewrite www non-www [google.com]

Thanks for that. Is isnt so easy to find this using a search engine. Trust me I have tried.
Any search using the words http or www tend to get you directed all over the place.
Thanks for the info.

The Apache Web Server Forum covers a lot of these kind of topic:
[webmasterworld.com...]

Just skim the first thread titles and you'll often find a quick answer to rewrite questions.

Search tip: if you use google to search WebmasterWorld either use
site:www.webmasterworld.com+keyword
or
domains=webmasterworld.com&sitesearch=webmasterworld.com&q=keyword

You can also include custom code in the WebmasterWorld header.
Here's a quick solution for including the google sitesearch box:
[webmasterworld.com...]
Kudos to bill who posted the trick on msg #:9.
