A very interesting new online product attempt with aggressive use of technology (not to mention bandwidth)
Is this the future of internet news for the general masses? Why read or wait for the story to come around on TV when you can watch an instant show and tell?
Think about the problems indexing and searching for this stuff, not to mention long term storage.
I wonder if any other site will ever have the assets required to compete with this?
I like this. There aren't many streams up yet, but my 100Mbps fiber optic home connection had no problem accessing the content. The ability to pick and choose what you want to watch is nice, and I didn't mind the commercials much in the beginning. Fortunately they don't run a CM for each story.
Have you checked out feedroom.com? They've been around for a while and there's no CMs.
But this has been done before, I remember when I had a Broadband, I used to watch BBC news on my computer! And also while the Iraq attack thing , I watched "Iraq TV" live broadcastings!
It can be fun sometimes but hey, I'm more of a "Web site technology" guy then a "Web streaming technology" guy ;)
