Will it help to reduce crashes

Hello I own an ecommerce site and I have been encountering crashes within my office pages. I have been losing information on customers orders without any warning. Just crashes.

I was wondering if I were to switch to mysql format would this help to eliminate this problem.

There's not really any telling until you figure out if the problem was a Database problem or not. Best to try and pinpoint the general area of the problem before you look at Database migration.

If you use flat file database, then you could work on better file locking. If I understand you correctly - that is your problem. When two processes try to write at the same time into one file, you get errors.

If your traffic will increase - the amount of errors will too. Better start thinking quick!

Do you have any backup files in MS XL or MS Access?
Or could you do it
if so you are not in a bad shape, those format with the correct tool can be transformed as a MySQL format
