Ok, I have just re-installed Win XP Prof. with service pack 1. Now whenever I go to ANY HTTPs page on any site I get the IE security alert window as if the certificate is invalid. My site certificate is valid and works perfectly except from this machine that I am using..I keep getting the "Security Alert" window.

Anyone can help me with a solution?

Cheers,

Are there any root cert updates to download from Windows Update for XP SP-1?

I get the below message when I go to the Windows update site:
"Windows Update has encountered an error and cannot display the requested page."

I just went to a site that uses a Verisign certficate and didn't get any Security Alert Prompt. My site is using a certificate from InstantSSL.com. Also, I checked a site using a Thawte certificate and the same problem happens.

I used to use Win XP without service pack 1 before formating my drive and never had this problem.

Any ideas on what I can do?

Try setting your Security settings to the lowest level, the go back to Windows Update.

I did, but I keep on getting the same error message (see below)

This Annoyances.org post suggests putting an "s" into the URL:
