Pageviews found in web logs refer to text file suffix such as txt and html/html does this extend to PDF?

Thanks in advance!

The short answer is "No."

Technically, you will not find "page views" in web logs. The logs simply list requests made to the server --which will ordinarily include any requests for pdf files.

But it is the log analysis software that makes the distinction you are referring to. Generally, these do not list pdf files under "page views" (though you may be able to reconfigure how your software classifies file types). Instead, they will include them in lists of files "viewed" or "downloaded" and other more general listings of "requests".

(Incidentally, this question should probably have been asked under "Tracking and Logging".)
