I have been reading about BLOGS, some info was that google gives them high PR for rich content, but what the heck is the difference between a BLOG and any other resourceful page? Do BLOGS have ****/blog.htm in their address? I feel like a 1st grader in a high school physics class when it comes to BLOGS. Could someone please help?

No, PR is gained from incoming links, not for content.

No real difference actually. A blog is basically a content management system that allows for the page or site to be updated easily.

The vast majority don't.

Head over to blogger.com and set up an account(it's free and only takes a minute). It should become clear what blogs are all about once you've done that.

Thanks for the info. I went to bed with grandiose ideas about making a great blog and including info about my sites on it, as a way of getting better traffic. I woke up, checked out a bunch of blogs, and thought, "people actually read these?" Scrap that idea. Back to good old fashioned reciprocal linking!
