Assuming a PC has Messenger installed and working...
Can a text link in a web page be used to start and/or open Microsoft Messenger..?
I am looking to put a link into a web page with a "click to start messenger" message in it.

Hmm... Offhand, I would say no, unless the user has you as a trusted site.
I know that you can embed ActiveX to gain access to the Msg API using .Net, and it may be possible to launch it that way. Check msdn.microsoft.com for more info!
