An Oftel press release [oftel.gov.uk] claims half of UK homes are online and "Oftel’s research shows that a further one million consumers could upgrade to broadband over the next 12 months"

internetworldstats suggests 58% UK penetration

[internetworldstats.com ] have worldwide stats I'd not seen before.

I don't think "UK penetration" is the same statistic as "UK homes online" because most homes have more than one person.

does anyone have any stats of number of households who shop online in the UK? and perhaps projections for this for 2004
