In response to a libel lawsuit, an antispyware company has settled with Gator and pulled Web pages critical of the company, its practices and its software. And other spyware foes [news.com.com] are getting the message.

The defendant in the Gator libel suit, PC Pitstop

In an earlier federal court action [news.com.com]

A federal judge has given the OK for a software maker to deliver ads that pop up over Web sites, including those owned by rivals of the advertiser.

I wonder if we'll see a mass revision of webpages all across the net?

Over at PCMagazine's website I caught this article,

Spyware—It's lurking on your machine [pcmag.com], in which the author repeatedly refers to Gator as ***ware over and over and over again, with references to keyloggers and trojans, no less. Not a flattering context.
